To God be the Glory

in College, Life, Personal, March 25, 2016

Looking back in my First year in College, I could still remember myself saying:

Bia, dapat paggraduate mo may love life ka na and dapat grumaduate ka as Cum Laude.

This is it! All my sacrifices, mental breakdowns, and hard work finally paid off!  I am officially graduating! After that four-year roller coaster ride, I’ve finally made it to the finish line. Sobrang nag-enjoy ako nung college. They say High School’s the best part of life, but for me College was. I was able to experience so many things that never did I expect to. I may not seem to achieve my college goals, but, for me, I still felt that I was able to achieve them, but in a different way. Yes, nagka-love life ako. I never thought that I would end up falling in love – falling in love to leadership and service. Never it was an easy task to balance academics and extra-curricular activities. There were a lot of things that needed to be sacrificed and a lot of challenges to be faced along the way. I could even describe my college life as “mala-MMK” because of so many things that happened to me, ups and downs. But as what Fr. Arrupe said “Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything“. Love and passion were my main fuel for surviving this four years of my college, that’s why I thank God for providing me those. A tough ride, I would say, but I guess, everything was worth it. I may not receive any awards on my graduation, except for the loyalty award though, what’s most important is that I felt happiness, contentment, and fulfillment – I felt life as I graduate.

Thank you Ateneo de Davao for the sixteen happy years of my life! Thank you God! Everything I owe to you for your greater glory! Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
