Just last April 14, 2019, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore’s famous Garden destination, has opened their new attraction called the Floral Fantasy.

Floral Fantasy features a collection of flowering plants displayed into 4 garden landscapes – each with different artistic concept. It is a smaller dome compared to the Flower and Cloud Forest domes, but for me this one’s not to be missed out when visiting Gardens by the Bay.

Getting There

By Train – just take the Circle Line (Yellow) or Downtown Line (Blue) and alight at Bayfront MRT Station, then just follow the exit signs that lead to “Gardens by the Bay”.

Admission

Floral Fantasy is open from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM daily. Admission ticket is time-stamped with limited hourly time slots available.

Best to check their website for more info about the ticketing. You could also book your tickets online to lessen the hassle.

We were supposed to visit Floral Fantasy on the day when we visited the Flower and Cloud Forest Domes, but we weren’t able to catch the last entry which was 8:00 PM since we didn’t want to miss the Garden Rhapsody show. So we decided to visit it the next day and went there at around 9:45 AM and got the 10:00 AM-11:00 AM slot entry.

Walking through Floral Fantasy

Dance

Colorful flowering plants suspended from the ceiling

Upon entering, the first garden that you will be encountering is the “Dance“. We were so in awe when we first set foot on the first garden. It felt so dreamy and magical because of the pastel-colored flowers hanging upside-down from the ceiling.

If you know me well, I love anything with flowers that’s why this place was definitely a “love at first-sight” for me.

Moving forward from “Dance” is the second garden called the “Float“. Here you will be able to encounter a garden with a bubbling brook and more lovely flowering plants.

In this section, there are seats available for you to chill and rest a bit and just gaze at the beauty of the garden.

Waltz

The third garden landscape is the “Waltz” which mimics the experience of walking through a forest in the rain.

Drift

Too bad I haven’t taken any photo of this garden! Anyway, but this was the last garden in Floral Fantasy. It was just a small semi-closed cavern-like garden that’s decorated with terraced rocks and hanging ferns.

Flight of the Dragonfly

We concluded our Floral Fantasy experience at Flight of the Dragonfly theater, a 4D ride which simulates a dragonfly’s flight around Garden’s by the Bay. It can also serve as a tour for you around the whole Garden. Lol. This is already included in the Floral Fantasy admission and is also optional, but definitely you shouldn’t miss this one.

Before going there…

  • It is best that you check their website for attraction closure/maintenance dates.
  • We highly suggest that you visit Floral Fantasy in the morning (9:00 AM- 10:00 AM or 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM time slots) because it is not yet crowded and I think you could appreciate the garden more with fewer people around, since the dome is just small. Plus, it’s even better to take photos for your IG feed with fewer people, right? LOL.

Overall, I loved and enjoyed my experience in Floral Fantasy, it was so magical! I love how they fused nature, artistry, and technology into one. Floral Fantasy is definitely not to be missed out when you visit Singapore. The admission ticket is quite expensive, to be honest, but it was really worth it. Fite me~
